Welcome!

kuribod.com is the personal website of Sam Divinagracia (that's me!) with the intent of placating demands of his family to know every detail of his life. if you've stumbled upon this site by accident, through random typing, banging of forehead against keyboard during a very frustrating debugging episode, or were forced by someone to come here, the owner of this site (that's me again!) would like to extend his sympathy, but would like to make it clear that he is not responsible for any insanity or religious conversion or both that may arise because of the said visit. the owner would also like to point out that he does not usually talk in the 3rd person. really, he does not.

kidding (: . welcome to my site! this is my semi-blog... it is my hope that this site will aid you, my dear friends, to understand a little bit about my ministry at Grace International School, and maybe help you in your prayers for Grace, for Thailand, or for me.

If you have any questions about me, about Grace, about Christianity, or anything that comes to mind (except cats) please send me an email: sam@kuribod.com

mickey mouse, spinning tops, and cheesy western mu
i'm in toronto, in my brother's apartment, and we just finished watching mickey mouse and the beanstalk. little anna can now say my name! she's only 1 and a half years old, very talkative, can count up to ten (and with a little help up to 20).

a cheesy western music was playing earlier, and now enya's on. for some reason i now lost the fascination that i had when i was in highschool and college for her music.

i'm trying to teach danielle and john how to make the bamboo top spin. well, at least we're having fun laughing at each other. the kids are growing so fast. dani's big for her age. she's only 7, already in 2nd grade, the youngest and the tallest in her class. (the smartest too, but i won't say that out loud, lest i be accused of bragging).

i wanted to call Ray in MI, but i ran out of phonecard minutes. shoot. i'll have to buy one today.

freezing temprature is 50 deg F
at least that's what my body tells me for the moment. so i'm back in IL, i'm here in my aunt and uncle's house, my cousin from virginia is here with their 2 sons and i had my longest sleep last night in about a week. feels good, my body feels like new again, and i'm ready for another round of traveling.

arthur and meg might join me tomorrow on my trip to toronto. they've always wanted to go with me everytime i visit my brother, and i do hope that they will come.

unseasonable rain
i'm here in bangkok, sitting inside my sister's office while she's in the lab working with her interns. i'm staring at one of the books sitting on her table titled "Clavicipitalean Fungi," idly wondering if it is edible. well, considering her specialty which is insect fungi, it probably is not.

i'm flying back to the US tomorrow. it's a trip i need to do, something i look forward to and dread at the same time.

hah! i found something interesting about the clavitisomething fungi! i knew there was something fishy with my sister's work. DNA sequencing my butt - they're making LSD! says here in the book that the alkaloid that makes up lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD, the drug that made everyone happy during the hippie years) comes from claviceps purpurea. i'm sure you're wetting your pants from excitement in reading this.

Updates...
... are coming soon. i have neglected my site for some time now, but the new design will be up soon. in the meantime, there are a lot of things going on. i am very hesitant in writing some of the things that happened here in thailand, maybe someday. good things, bad things, God is still my refuge.

i am feeling a little bit sick today, but i had a good nap this afternoon, and some korean spicy noodles. and my sentences are starting to sound funny. maybe i am regressing back to ilonggo grammar on top of the english language. hrmph.

i miss my family.
