A. the silver is commonly found in burial mounds found in Thailand. These burial mounds hold silver from the time of King Mangrai's reign. At this time in history the silver was imported from Burma and then stored in Thailand.

A. Silver in Thailand is commonly used for jewelry, pictures made out of silver, dishes, silverware, purses, and much more. The most common out of all of these uses are the jewelry. They like to make bracelets, rings and earrings.  They have a very special chisels that they use to carve out designs in the bracelets and the other jewelry. The silver pictures are also commonly made there. They get big sheets of paper and take the chisels to carve out the designs. The sheet of silver is elevated off of the backboard so that when they chisel it out it looks like its three dimensional. The dishes and silverware are not normally used for eating but just decorations. The purses are also used mostly for  decoration and not for use.
